Raven Shiverclawe grew up as Tristan Silverlake, child to a Federation Hero. Tristan had decided as a young child that he was going to take after his father and be a service member as well. He made sure to excel at anything physical, any sport he attempted. Because of his desire to excel at everything, he didn’t make lasting friends.

Tristan enlisted into the services as soon as he was of age to do so, and was shipped off to boot camp as soon as he had graduated high school. It was in boot camp that he met Michaelis Wilzuun, another aspiring Federation service member. They were bunk mates and had to get along, and they got along very well. When it came time to leave boot camp the two made sure to exchange contact information, in case that they didn’t get stationed somewhere close enough to make plans to buy each other drinks at a local bar.

Michaelis was assigned as a guard at a planet that dealt with dishonorable service members. He did rather well for himself, granting him security clearances that most wouldn’t get in the time that he had been there.

Tristan was assigned to infantry on a war-ridden planet. Tristan proved to be a valuable asset on the battlefield with quick, responsive decisions.  He saved several dozen lives, on more than one account, earning him a promotion and high recommendations from his superiors.

Michaelis and Tristan both spent 3 years at their stations with Tristan taking vacations to Michaelis’ planet so that the two could have a drink and get caught up on each other’s life. These visits happened every six months or so, whenever Tristan could get enough vacation time saved up to make the trip to and from Michaelis’ planet.
