Story of a Girl (Absolutely)

Music video unrelated to story.

That song, I didn't really know what to name this post. And that song came to mind, so you get a video, and a story!

Its a nice middle of May, sunny day, cool temperatures to be enjoyed outside. The grass waves, and the trees sway with the nice breeze that blows through the campus.

Its the last class of the day, 10 minutes to go until sweet freedom of getting to go home and do what we want! The bell takes its time to ring, signalling the release of the thousands of students in school desks.

The bell finally rings, and everyone floods into the hallways, the lunch areas, where ever they can fit and walk towards their car, or their bike, or the location where they get picked up, its time for every one to vanish for the evening from the place that every student calls a hell at some point.

I make my way across a parking lot that feels like takes forever to transverse. The barbed wired bike cage is just ahead, and all the bikes clearly visible and its clear I seem to be the last one here today. I get my bike and bid farewell to those still around, and off I go with my bike, riding across the school's grass area, there is a hill near the edge of the property that I like to ride down. I get to the hill and see a girl that I have an interest in.

I stop and sit next to her, and we talk for a while in the nice breeze, and bright sun. We talked until her ride shows up, she gets up, smiles to me and gets in the car there to pick her up.

I get back on my bike, and I ride home, blissfully happy that I got to sit next to her, and talk to her for the extended amount of time.

This isn't a story, its a memory, and one of my fondest ones from high school.
